Hugo participated in many international exhibitions and was awarded with 35 medals - 9 golden and more than 155 other prizes. He received a honorable mention award in Black & White Spider Awards 2011 (UK) in Portrait category. His work received a commendation award in Sony World Photography Awards 2010 (Cannes).

Hugo was included in the Color Projected Image Division section of Photographic Society of America’s TOPS IN PHOTOGRAPHY, 2014
